#Schooldays :)

Some says it’s the best of times,

Some says it’s the worst of times.

For some, it’s a roller coaster

Of joy and melancholy.

‘Navodaya’ brings in me

 The schoolgirl memories

Two side braided hair,

With red and white ribbons,

Having a wish of being

 ‘The cleanest of the day’! :D

And I remember, that wish came true

On a Wednesday, ‘09

(That too in Full White and White!) :D

Saturday’s strenuous House Cleaning,

 To make our ‘Echoing Green’ dorm ‘Nilgiri’,

 The Cleanest House!

(A few fall sick soon,

To escape from the Cleaning Duty as well). ;)

Sunday’s gardening and the sprint

To mess before the last bell,

To escape from the MOD’s

Door closing ceremony! :D

Being punished,

We stood with ‘guts’ amongst the 500!! ;)

Just to fill the noisy hungry tummy with

 ‘Just’ 7-8 pooris and dal. :P

The night Study Times

Made me to stand on my knees.

Another ‘punishment’ by chechis for

Being drowsy during studies.

(That taught me how to sleep,

while standing on knees). ;)

Awaited for the night Roll-Call,

And happily we sang ‘njnurangan pokum mumpai..’

By gulping a few lines in b/w

To rush to our bedzzz…

One morning, I woke up finding

A sparkling firefly beside me,

That made my day! J

A unique day in those 7 years!

Parents' Day! The happiest day of the month! :D

But making them to sign the progress report,

Even before meeting us,

Was really heart breaking! :I

The aroma of home-made food,

Packed with love filled the campus on that day.

Some packs we kept for secret sharing when

 The lights were off at 10.30!

Those memories still bring back

The taste and smell of the

Porotta, chicken and chapathi

We’d then in darkness! :P

Navodaya life, is indeed

A long tale to tell.

Such, such were the joys

We’d in our School life.

Of course, we’d sweet and bitter days,

Even those bitter days make our memories sweet

And the sweet days, the sweeter! J
